Things are not always
as they appear,
we interpret the scene,
while the facts are unclear.
And say this appears
to be this or that,
as we swallow a camel
while straining a gnat.
What source is true
where lies our trust,
in opinions and rumors
or men made of dust?
Perhaps those in lab coats
with their “expert” decrees,
can assure us we really
see what we see.
We all exercise faith
in some source of news
and there is no denying
that colors our views,
to the point we believe
there is no wrong or right,
except what we choose
to be true in our sight.
“And the serpent said to the woman, “You surely
Shall not die! For God knows that in the day that
you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you
will be like God, knowing good from evil.”
Genesis 3:4-5
